CELEBRATE!: September 23, 2024

In recognition of the iconic artist Louise Nevelson's 125th Birthday, the Louise Nevelson Foundation celebrates this highly esteemed artist of 20th Century American Art.  Maria Nevelson personally invited over 194 art museums, galleries and public spaces to acknowledge the importance of Nevelson's art works.  We would like to thank the following for answering our campaign call and Louise Nevelson would surely be absolutely delighted:

Note: Maria Nevelson would like to thank Anastasia Gudko for encouraging her to undertake this time consuming campaign and notifying so many organizations that had no idea this big milestone was coming.

Nevelson can be found around the world in over 200 museums and outdoors with municipal public art.  Her wide range of materials e.g. up-cycled found wood, Plexiglass, painted canvases, lead embossed prints, resin multiples, and in her "elder years" 70 foot high plus Cor-Ten Steel and aluminum sculptures, has out-paced and out-produced most artists throughout art history.  Louise Nevelson is, take a breath, a real inspiration.
